Old Time Jazz Band was formed in 1957, and there are still,
some of the original five young men who came together because of their love for
New Orleans Jazz. Although this is Finland's longest serving jazz band, you can be
sure their music is still fresh and swinging. The music comes from the Deep South
from the turn of the century, and over the years the band's repertoire has expanded
to more than 400 numbers. However Old Time Jazz Band's sound remains faithful
to the "collective improvisation" of the original New Orleans jazz as pioneered by
such greats as Joe "King" Oliver, Louis Armstrong, Johnny Dodds, Kid Ory etc.
Old Time Jazz Band has been regularly performing in all distinguished jazz festivals
